The perspective on interaction and the method of analysis emerge from ethnomethodological conversation analysis. The study shows that in the orchestra rehearsal, as a multilingual working environment, a base code is established into which other languages and codes are switched, and that in instructional actions the conductors do not only use speech but a wide variety of multimodal resources, primarily gestures, singing, facial expressions, gaze behaviour and body movements. Das vorliegende Werk untersucht die allgemeinen, sozial und kommunikativ strukturierten Muster sowie individuelle Formen der Interaktion in einem durch Mehrsprachigkeit und Instruktionen geprägten institutionellen Setting, der Orchesterprobe. Die zugrundeliegende Perspektive auf Interaktion und die damit zusammenhängende Analysemethode gehen aus der ethnomethodologischen Konversationsanalyse hervor.
