The potential of 'conceptual change' in religious education for analysing the notion of ‘sacrifice’/‘victim’ (‘Opfer’) and juvenile concepts of it: Using the example of the nuanced notion of ‘sacrifice’/‘victim’ (‘Opfer’), this study examines how juvenile concepts are determined by different contexts and what emerges in the shift from everyday to theological framings. The ‘conceptual change’-approach, established in science education, is used to analyse changes and continuities in juvenile concepts. The potential of this approach for religious education is explored and didactic perspectives are developed in light of juvenile ‘conceptual changes’ on the notion of ‘sacrifice’/‘victim’. Die Studie beleuchtet am Beispiel der differenziert dargestellten Opferthematik, wie jugendliche Vorstellungen durch unterschiedliche Kontexte geprägt werden und was im Wechsel von alltagsweltlicher zu theologischer Rahmung geschieht. Zur Analyse juveniler Vorstellungsveränderungen und -stabilitäten wird der in der Naturwissenschaftsdidaktik etablierte Ansatz ‚Conceptual Change‘ herangezogen.
