<dc:description xml:lang="en">As part of the Thun-Hohenstein University Reform in the mid-19th century, the study of law in Austria was also fundamentally restructured. Roman law – alongside legal history – was given a key role in the fundamental legal education. This collection of research papers seeks to explore the legal and pedagogical motives behind the significant appreciation of Roman law within the legal curriculum.</dc:description>
