Erst im lokalen Kontext lassen sich die Widersprüche der bisherigen Forschung in Bezug auf den postulierten Zusammenhang zwischen Besitzwechsel und sozialer Polarisierung auflösen und der gesellschaftliche Wandel auf einer neuen Grundlage erklären. This book deals with the changing patterns of transmission of land and houses in a pre-industrial rural community of Southern Bohemia.
