Description (eng)
Despite some preliminary work, the European field of research known as 'law and literature' lacks an interdisciplinary scientific
approach. In particular, there has been no attempt to adequately and comprehensively capture the relationship between legal
discourse in literary fiction and the corresponding real-world law. This is now being undertaken theoretically (discourse analysis
and hermeneutics) and methodologically (contrafactual reasoning) as well as practically, using novels from contemporary literature.
